It’s never too late to learn how to play the piano! Music not only brings color into one’s life but it also teaches concentration, strengthens focusing techniques and encourages patience. Weekly piano lessons helps the kids develop discipline and confidence while they learn a new skill. Lessons are held in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and surrounding areas year round.
Why I teach the piano
Some thoughts about my emergence into teaching…
In 2000, we realized a profound loss in our lives. A window closed, a door opened and a gift was given…a discovery that teaching was a special way to give of who I am and who I aspire to be. My love for teaching over the years keeps evolving and has become, along with my music performance, an integral and important part of my life.
Learning to play a musical instrument enriches one’s life tenfold. It gives an individual a profound opportunity to experience an art form. We see countless marketing campaigns that claim to teach you how to “play piano overnight,” or “in a snap.” It is my humble opinion that there is no substitute for a one-on-one connection with teacher and student. With this personal, kinetic process of learning, a relationship is formed, attaching a lifelong memory and giving substance and meaning to the process. This is why I teach.
Fall, Spring & Summer Terms
Tuition is due on or before the first lesson of each term.
30, 45 or 60 Minutes
The schedule generally follows PISD & DISD. Lessons occur on consecutive weeks, excluding holidays and are scheduled in advance.
Make-Up Lessons
Two make-up lessons are available and occur at the end of each session.
Private piano lessons in dallas area
Lessons are held at the Carolyn Nussbaum studio located in Plano, TX. off the George Bush Turnpike and Coit Rd. Alternately, lessons can be held in the privacy of your own home (Dallas and surround areas) rather than the music studio. Please indicate on the registration form which location you would like to have your lessons. Contact me if you have questions about your location.
Registration for private piano lessons is open for the Spring 2020 term. Upcoming schedules for the summer & fall terms will be posted no later than 10 days prior to the start of the new term.
Tuition is due on or before the first lesson of each term. Please be sure to make your selection based on the lesson length and location.
